Christian Zachariasen has pointed his lens at this aspect of life to construct, in a precise, objective, detailed manner, the story of an ordinary day in the working world. Whether they live in Paris, New York, or Tokyo, white-collar and blue-collar workers each have their unchanging symbols - those objects which make the rhythm of their working days, and which are so familiar and part of their lives that it is now impossible to do any work without them. The puzzle takes shape under our eyes, and we are totally immersed in this world which is ours 8 hours a day.
