Pursed or stretched lips, panting breath escaping from a slightly open mouth, sealed by the tip of a tongue suggesting the top an infant's skull, the mouths of Isabelle Rozenbaum relate the story of childbirth. Isabelle returns here to the pangs of a birth that could be hers. By portraying the mouth as a centre of expulsion, she delivers, as if to renew ties with all the first joys of existence. The mouth then becomes greedy, mocking, and even a touch obscene. Like a baby expelled from the belly of his mother, he is now in the grips of all kinds of temptations. The mouth is a centre of expression - oral, of course.
