Attentive, precise and understanding, Vera Atchou knows how to capture the everyday life of men. Here, she surprises men getting out of bed, still wrapped in the sleepy haze of the night. With a sensuality that belongs to her alone, her lens skims over them and teases the texture of their skin, producing photos of a great intimacy. Atmospheres that are very dark or very bright, series or unique moments, these whole or fragmented portraits, mainly in black and white, are never superficial but lead us towards genuine feelings: reflection, tension, annoyance, showing-off... We allow ourselves to get carried away.
