Between earth and sky, the horizon slants irretrievably for this group of teenagers on holiday, caught between childhood and adulthood. Framing his pictures at an angle to accentuate this, Patrick Sheándell calmly places his teenagers on the slippery slope of life. His photographs reel, like the future of these young boys and girls silhouetted in motion against the horizon. This "chameleon" photographer uses low angle shots to allow them to grow up, or high angle shots... as they plunge into the swimming pool. Letting them get on with living is for him the best way to capture them in real life, without ever catching them... in real life. The proof: they're radiant.
