She shows life as it is. The settings become unimportant: it is the life that matters. Isabelle Rozenbaum focuses on expressions and moods. She likes to say what is felt. Tenderness, love and protection are placed in the foreground. She enjoys taking sequences of shots in the one place to tell us stories, snippets of life. People asleep, people waking, people at the breakfast table. The spaces don't change but time has passed. These simple and true snippets of life are at the heart of Isabelle Rozenbaum's work. It is a film of life, for each of us to live as we wish.
