Long before the modern worship of the disposable society and the pop culture, different societies from around the world developed their own unique belief systems and ways of expressing them. In the ethnic masks, sculptures and artifacts from around the globe one can find an innate respect for the natural materials used to create them and a timeless truthfulness in their symbolism. Photographer Benoît Jeanneton captures and brings to us the natural beauty and individuality found in these treasures from around the world. Each ethnic object is a testament to a rich and ancient culture expressing universal truths such as war, death, life and love.
