"Where does the value of money come from? Does it lie in its physical properties or its symbolic representations? Over time, money and wealth have changed forms and appearances; yet, there has always been a need to store and access it someway in some location. In his bank of the future, photographer Frédéric Cirou imagines the financial institution of the next generation. It is a dark and barren place built with fortress like impermeability. Deep within its walls and vaults, the people who inhabit this world move about a segregated world divided into those who possess wealth and those who protect it."
