During his five-year tenure as assistant photographer, Jean-Claude Marlaud familiarised himself with fashion, advertising, and still-life photography. He quickly established himself in still-life and model photography. He opened his first studio in 1976, using jewelry, perfumes and cosmetics to create an environment of opulence and exquisite beauty. Inspired by the sculptor Rodin, he enjoys altering reality, approaching the realm of dreams and imagination while still retaining the illusion of the ?real? which photography provides. This has naturally led him to explore digital imaging. |
