Clear and limpid or suddenly dark and tempestuous, water is never innocently depicted by Jean-Luc Dolmaire. In his concerns for the dangers threatening it and us, he raises real issues. Pollution and floods are evidence of this. Even in the streets, in children's games, swimming pools and ports, water is a source of life, a means of purification. Through the eyes of Jean-Luc Dolmaire, its life seems to be in limbo.
