When we think of money, we are reminded of all things money can and can not do. When we see the variety of colors, images, patterns and languages on each currency we are reminded of all the distant countries and cultures of the world. Christian Zachariasen explores these two paradoxical characteristics of money in his collection of world currency images. In each image he captures the varied individuality of world currency and the universal thoughts and associations that occur when we think of money.
